CORE LightDesk Descriptions

CORE Lighting's controller for its range of wireless battery powered lighting units.

Initially designed for the CORE PinPoint unit this app simulates a lighting desk with 512 channels and outputs the data using Bluetooth Low Energy technology from the phone/tablet directly to the fixture. Each channel has its own slider to represent the desk slider to control intensity level of that channel only. There is also a Master slider to control all 8 channels on each page simultaneously.

The CORE Lightdesk app provides a mechanism for wirelessly addressing individual CORE fixtures onto specific channels on both Bluetooth and Wireless DMX. The channels are replicated between the two technologies up to one whole 'Universe' of 512 different channels. (Note separate equipment is required for Wireless DMX communication)

The fixture is paired to a channel by putting the fixture into Bluetooth Channel Pairing mode (see product manual) then simply pushing the corresponding channel button in the app. Each button is located next to its corresponding intensity slider. Multiple units may be paired to the same channel.

An up-coming enhancement is to use the Handset number to allow multiple Universes to be created by pairing units onto different Handset numbers. E.g.Handset 1 for Universe1, Handset2 for Universe2 and so on. The Handset number may be changed in the Settings tab within the app and has 4 digits. This may also act as a level of security acting as a PIN number to prevent other users with the same app from taking control of those lights unless they know the Handset (or PIN) number.

Note:
This is the first public release and enhancements, new features and bug fixes will be work in progress
